The short version. Avela gives you information about your own fertility record. It is not medical advice, it does not diagnose anything, and it is never a substitute for your care team. Some of what Avela shows you is written by AI and can be incomplete or wrong, so confirm with your clinic before acting on anything. In an emergency, call your clinic or 911.
These terms are an agreement between you and Avela Intelligence ("Avela", "we", "us") covering your use of the Avela app at app.avelaintelligence.com. By creating an account or using Avela, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Avela.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and is part of these terms.
Avela is an informational and organizational tool. It helps you keep your IVF and fertility records in one place, understand what they contain, and prepare for conversations with your clinical team.
Avela is not:
Some of what Avela shows you, including insights, document extractions, and appointment briefs, is generated by AI. AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or wrong, even when it sounds confident. Two rules protect you:
Avela is in an early testing phase. That means features may change, be added, or be removed, sometimes without notice, and occasional bugs or downtime are more likely than in a finished product. We work hard to keep your record safe and intact, but during this phase you should keep your original documents and not treat Avela as your only copy of any medical record.
You own your records and everything you put into Avela. You give us permission to store and process that data for one purpose only: operating Avela for you, as described in the Privacy Policy. If you delete your data or your account, that permission ends with it.
You are in control of both at any time from the Account tab. Download my data saves a complete, readable copy of your record as a file you can keep, with your uploaded documents built in so it still works later. Delete account permanently removes your account and everything in it right away; because it cannot be undone, we suggest downloading a copy first. Deleting your account here does the same thing as asking us to delete it, just immediately and in your own hands.
Do not attempt to access anyone else's data, probe or interfere with Avela's security, scrape the service, reverse the AI features to extract prompts or models, or use Avela to build a competing dataset. We may suspend or close accounts that do.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of Avela as the product evolves. If we ever discontinue the service entirely, we will give you notice and a reasonable window to export your data first.
Avela is currently offered only in the United States and is intended for use there. We make no claim that it is appropriate or available anywhere else, and you are responsible for complying with your local laws if you use it from outside the United States.
Avela is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and accuracy of content. We do not warrant that Avela will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any information it displays, including AI-generated content, is complete or correct.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Avela and its founders will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for medical outcomes or clinical decisions, arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Avela is limited to the greater of fifty dollars ($50) or the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain liability limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
If your use of Avela breaks these terms or the law, or infringes someone else's rights, and that leads to a claim against us, you agree to cover the reasonable costs we incur defending it, to the extent the claim arises from what you did. This does not apply to anything caused by us, and nothing here asks you to cover our own wrongdoing.
If you have a problem with Avela, email us first at ashley@avelaintelligence.com. Most issues can be sorted out quickly that way, and we ask that you give us 60 days to try before starting any formal proceeding.
We will add the governing-law and venue details for these terms before Avela launches publicly. Until then, nothing in this section limits any right you have under the law that applies where you live.
If we materially change these terms, we will tell you in the app before the change takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will always reflect the current version. Continuing to use Avela after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
